CAS & Embellish

I just decided to make a card for the Embellish Magazine challenge as well as the boxes.  This is also for the Clean & Simple sketch challenge.  The stamp is Unity which I paperpieced and added gems to.

Here is a close up so you can see the stitching.

Thanks for looking!

More boxes...

I made a couple more boxes for the template challenge over at Just Us Girls and made them using the Embellish Magazine challenge criteria too - which was pink, kraft and aqua with stitching.  The milk carton was the same as yesterday's, from Lauren Meader and the little bag template I got from M.McCarthy.  The papers are both Fancy Pants.

And here they are individually.

Close up of the stitching and embossing on the little bucket bag.

Thanks for looking.  Have a great day.

JUGs and CIC

I couldn't resist using these colours together again from the Cupcake inspiration Challenge for the Just Us Girls Templates Challenge.  I used a Lauren Meader template that I bought ages ago from Papertrey INk I think. The Milk Carton template.  I had to make it bigger to fit the little bottles in.  The birdie stamp is from Unity's February kit.  I think this paperpieced birdie also qualifies for the Moxie Fab World Picking up the Pieces Challenge!

Here is a close up of the birdie.  SHame you can see the dimensional from this angle! ;-)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Just added....

....some new t-shirts to the shop

More boys ones to come soon!

Mojo and Cupcakes

OK so there's not a cupcake in sight but today's card was inspired by the lovely cupcakes used in the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. I've used the current Mojo Monday sketch. I loved these colours together.  I rotated the sketch 90 degrees and changed the shape.  The papers are old Kelly Panacci ones that have been in my stash for about two years!
Here is a close up.

Thanks for looking and have a great day - whatever you are doing.  We are off to an Easter Egg Hunt / Craft Market / Family Fun day at the local church today!

Quick Post

Hello everybody.  Well, as anticipated this week has gotton away from me where crafting is concerned! I have only one card to share today and it is for a friend of my Mum's who is turning 80 this weekend!

I have made it using three challenges:
  1. Just Us Girls Colour Challenge - I snuck a bit of orange in for the flames (it was on Peter's carrot after all!)
  2. Everything but the Kitchen Sink Sketch Challenge
  3. There She Goes 47 - Simplicity - this was a toughy for me as I love to layer! We were allowed to use dimensionals for the image thank goodness!
I used my new set of stamps I won from There She Goes Blog hop last month.  They produce really beautiful crisp images.  Here is a close up, cutting that image out was 'fun'!!

I also decorated the inside of the card too! I did layer here I hope that doesn't count against me for the TSG challenge!!

Well, thanks for looking and have a great day!  Off to the school run now!

Back from Bali!

Just got back from a holiday in Bali yesterday.  Had a wonderfully relaxing time.  You only go away a week and the blogging world moves on so fast I feel like I've missed out on heaps!

I had some lovely surprises waiting for me when I got back: 4 shout outs!

I made the top 12 for the sketch from The Pink Elephant challenge with this card:

I made the top 5 of Everything But the Kitchen Sink with this card:

I made the top 7 of Just Us Girls with this card:

And finally I made the top 5 of the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge with this card:

Nothing new to share today, still unpacking, washing, grocery shopping and generally catching up after a week away!  Thanks for looking in! Hopefully I'll get into the crafting groove this week! Although I will be working a bit too! :-(

So sad!

Today my heart is breaking with sadness.  A friend has just lost her husband suddenly...there are no words to express how I feel for her.

I made her this card which is based on this card here that I 'cased'.  I didn't have the same stamps but improvised with what I had.  And printed the sentiment out on the computer.

See you in a week or so.

Happy Mother's Day

OK so this is going to be so late arriving in the UK! Sorry Mum! Mother's Day in the UK is March 14th this year. Oops!

I used this weeks Cupcake Inspiration challenge for the colours and the current sketch challenge over at CPS.  Used another one of those cute little owls from Pink Petticoat.

The light is not great as it is late here so I will probably change the photos over in the morning if I get better ones.

I also decorated the inside of this one.

Thanks for looking guys.  I'll be taking a break for a couple of weeks now. But I will be back.  If I get super organised I might schedule some posts of some older work on here!

Oh and thanks to my two new followers I picked up yesterday - How lovely! I hope you like what you see. Have a great day.

Sweet Stop Challenge

Hi there folks, hope you are having a fabulous day!  I was very excited this morning to see that I had gained an extra follower! Just like getting a nice comment, that always brightens my day - so thanks Dawn - I hope you like what you see!

And so onto the card I have to share today.  I used the current sketch from the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge.  It turned out a lot larger than I'd planned probably 8 inches by 5 inches.

Here is the whole thing.  I paper pieced the birds raised the lovehearts up on dimensionals and added dimensional magic and a little bit of glitter to liven things up a bit!

Have a great day!

Owl Miss You!

Today's card was made in rather a hurry! But still I like the way it turned out!  I've used the sketch at Just Us Girls and the colour combination from the sponsor of the JUGs challenge(!): Wplus9 Design Studio's blog Stamp Away with me.

I printed the digital image (another one from Pink Petticoat!) and coloured it before I realised it was actually too big for the card blank I wanted to use! So I had to improvise a bit on the sketch and I cut the card size a bit thinner and offset it a bit.  I like the way that turned out.  I added a couple of other browns to the colour combo, hope that's OK!?  I've used foam tape on the owl and handbag to add a bit of dimension.  Here is the card in it's entirity.

How cute is that image! It comes in a set of 6.  They are all super cute!  This card was for a friend who is leaving town for a while :-(  Sorry I was late for lunch Deb I had a good excuse after all!

Thanks for looking.

Chic of the Week! And a Crafting Party!

WooHoo I got crowned Chic of the Week over at Just Us Girls for using the template to make the box for the card set last week! Whilst I absolutely love the card set, I am glad it is finished now!

This morning I am recovering from the night before! And not in the alcoholic sense! I was up late into the wee hours of the morning crafting with a lovely bunch of like-minded ladies!  Hope you girls aren't feeling as bad as me!  I think there were 10 of us in total, I had a lot of fun.  Only have one card to show though for my six hours work!! Shocking! Obviously spent far too much time chatting!

Here are the some of the girls hard at work!

I had set some challenges and also printed some current challenges from the blogosphere.  One of my challenges that I set was to "Make a Scene" on a card.  I decided to do this one and combined it with the current EBTKS challenge of using fabric on a card.  I think this also qualifies for the spring theme over at Pals Paper Arts. That rainbow is made from fabric from a VERY bright pair of leggings I picked up a local thrift store! They are fab, I appliqued a black out blind for my daughter's room with them too!

Here are the cards some of the other girls made - don't think I got pictures of everyones, Bianca was still working on a very cute one for the ColourQ challenge. In fact I think three of these were for the ColourQ challenge.

Andrea

Heidi

Well thanks for looking today.  I'm off to recover! I think a 'nana nap' is beckoning for this afternoon!

I couldn't help myself - I made another one!

Ok, so now the six card set, is now a seven card set! I had printed two sets of the little birds that I used for the box and so made this card with some of them!

I used the sketch from The Sweetest Thing - Sunday Sketch. I just adapted it a little!

Thanks for looking, if you want to check out the set this goes with just scroll back through the posts. Have a great day.

And then there were 6!

So finally I have finished the card set I've been working on.  Here is the fourth card of the set (the first three are in pervious posts!).  This one was made using the current sketch from CPS.  I'm still using the cute birdie stamps from Pink Petticoat for all of these cards.

Here is the fifth card in the set. Made using the current sketch from The Sweet Stop.  I love how this one turned out.

And finally the sixth card in the set....now this one I have made several variations of in the past.  It is NOT my design, but for the life of me I can't remember where I copied the idea from! I hate not being able to give the designer credit - if it's yours please let me know so I can give credit where it is due.   It is such a cool idea to use a 1 inch circle punch to make up the tree.  My previous cards made using this design had green for the grass and blue for the sky, but I think it looks pretty cool with unconventional colours too!

Here is a close up of his legs! Because I wanted to raise him up on dimensionals I gave him embroidery floss legs!

Here is the full set, sorry for the poor quality picture!

I hope the recipient likes it when it finally arrives!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day. I 'd love to know what you think of the cards, let me know with a link to your blog - I'd love to come and take a look at your blog (I'm nosy like that!!)

Two more cards for the set

Yesterday evening I managed to make two cards for the set I was talking about on yesterday's post, just three more to go! I followed two sketches for these cards the first is the Get Sketchy Sketch and the second is the Mojo Monday sketch.  I changed both cards into portrait versions.  Here is the Get Sketchy one.  I stuck pretty closely to the sketch after rotating it 90 degrees!

Here is the card made using the Mojo Monday Sketch.  To be honest when I saw the sketch this week I almost didn't play along as I wasn't so keen on it, but I'm glad I did now coz I really like how it turned out.  I am loving my corner rounder at the mo!

Well thanks for stopping by.  Hopefully I will have the other cards finished for tomorrow to share!

Card Set: in progress....

[Edited to add: Just finished the whole set of seven card you can see them here, here and here! or just click on the blog title and scroll through ;-) !]

Hi there! Hope you are having a fab week.  I have had less time for crafting this week, due to several contributing factors all conspiring against me! We had a public holiday on Monday, I've started work again (only two mornings a week!) and I have a house inspection looming!

However, I am in the process of making a card set, comprising of six cards each with a different birdie on from my Pink Petticoat set, all made with the same colour combo and will be presented in a matching box!

So today I will share the box and one of the cards.  I just love this colour combination together!  The card I have made using this weeks sketch from Clean & Simple.  I'm loving my new nestabilities!!  The box is made for the challenge at Just Us Girls.  They challenged us to make something using a template.  Their sponsor this week is the very talented Lauren Meader (love her blog!).  She now has an online store: My Time Made Easy, where she sells templates, stamps, digital stamps, cut file accents and digital paper.  For the challenge she offered up a freebie box template.   I downloaded this, but when I came to get started on the challenge I realised I wanted a bigger box for my cards. So I used Lauren's as the guide and based on that, made a template for a bigger one but the same design! Is that allowed?! I don't know, but I figured as I'm not planning to sell it and I was giving credit to Lauren it was probably OK...hope so.  Well anyway here they are:

I love that with digital stamps you can resize and flip them! My little row of birds down the bottom was tricky to colour in, but I love that there is one of each of the birds that are featured inside on the cards.  Here  is the card on it's own.  I stamped the little flowers with versamark and then heat embossed them with clear powder.

Here are a couple of pictures to show the depth of the box and that I have used velcro to fasten the lid.

As I do the rest of the cards I'll pop them in here for you to see, so make sure to check back if you are interested in what the final set will look like.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
