The finished Dress

Hi All

Thought I'd let you all see the finished Rainbow dress complete with the happy recipient!

As you can see it is a bit snug and short, so I think soon it will be transformed into a skirt!

[Edited to Add: Ok so it was turned into a skirt and matching t-shirt here.]

Just to let you know I'll be away from blogging for a little bit, but I have quite a few posts scheduled, including my posts for the new Challenge blog: Do You Stack Up starting on the 6th January.

Have a happy day!

Rainbow Dress Work in Progress and Merry Christmas!

Hi folks

Just wanted to pop on and say Merry Christmas, not sure when I'll be back on here after the festivities.  Thought I'd share with you what I was working on at the mo.  No photos of my own yet though.

I'm making this beautiful rainbow dress for my daughter for Christmas.  I'm worried it will be too small as the size is 2-6 and I have a very small 7 year old.  Oh well if all else fails I'll turn it into a skirt!  It's looking super cute and is fairly easy to put together, despite me being so so tired!

You can see more info on it here.  And you can buy the fabric for it here at Spoonflower.

Late Christmas Cards and a Custom Shirt

Hi, I've been busy making production style cards due to the fact that i left it too late to make all different ones this year. [Note to self: REALLY must start to make Christmas cards before last posting dates next year!]

Oh and here is the updated version of the card I made a while back for the Unity challenge, I added pearls to the baubles.

My friend asked if I could make her son a t-shirt to match his favourite book: Meet jack truck.  his name is also Jack.

Here is the cover of the book:

And here is the shirt I made.  I love how it turned out.  I will probably add some sort of Custom Ordering like this to the shop in the new year.

Have a great day! Off to write all my Christmas cards!

Do You Stack Up? DT Announcement!

I am so excited to be able to share with you all that I was asked to be on a Design Team for a new Challenge Blog starting up in January.  Anyone who reads this blog will know that quite often I use freebie digital images found on the Free Digital Stamps blog.  Well Alison who runs that blog has decided to set up a Card Challenge Blog called Do You Stack Up!

Hop on over and sign up to follow, you really DON'T want to miss the first challenge on the 6th January as there are heaps of prizes up for grabs!

I've added the links to all the other girls on the Design Team to my sidebar so you can check them out too.  I know they would love to welcome you over to their blogs.

Incidently Alison has an online shop selling digital stamps called Stretch 'n' Bubbles.  There are some wonderful images on there.

Some cards

Here are some rainbow themed Christmas cards I made for a couple of friends.

I used the CPS sketch for this one.  All the paper is from a Kaisercraft paper pad.  It has lots of glitter on it, it's wonderful paper.  The stamps are Unity.

I used the Mojo Monday sketch for this one, just rotated it, stamps are Unity again.  I made this for my friend who loves blue!

And finally a cute little new baby thank you card made for my friend Kelly to give out. This one measures about 4 inches square (10cm).

Thanks for stopping by.

Before we get to the cards, if you are here for the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway you'll find all the details here.
So now on with the cards.....I have been busy making cards but just having no time to post about them!  So here are three for you.

First up is this one for my friend Chris who is moving out of town and she is moving into her own white house!  I used the Get Sktchy sketch and took inspiration from JayGee's Challenge.

This is for Jade's piano teacher to accompany her thank you/Christmas gift.  This is my Singing Angel image you can purchase here if you like it!  I paper pieced her and raised her up on dimensionals. This is for the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge.

And this last one is for the current Colour Q Challenge (I didn't have the exact colours so I improvised! Hope that's ok Arielle?) I also used the sketch at Card Patterns.  Oh this is another one of my images you can buy it here

Thanks for stopping by today, I'm off to make two more cards!  Just in case you didn't realise I'm taking part in the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway. You can read about it and take part here.

Made it Friday Focus: Camouflage

OK so again I've run late with the Made It Friday Focus, really do need to rename it!!  Anyhow today's focus is on camouflage!  One of my products is a dinosaur t-shirt in camouflage fabric on grey.  They are three other motif options: an army tank; a skull and cross bones; and another dinosaur.

Here are some of the lovely things I have found on Made It.
I've closed my shop now for Christmas and the New Year.  It will be back open again on the 15th January.  I'll still be blogging though. I'll be posting some cards later today!

New Home and Happy Holidays

A couple of cards to share today. The first uses the current Mojo Monday sketch.  I just made it landscape instead of portrait.

And this is another Christmas Card to add to my tiny stash!  Inspired by the colours of the Friends with Flair Challenge and the colours from Jay Gee's Nook Challenge.  I just love these colours together I can see more and more of this style coming along soon!  After I took the photo I also added three pearls to the tops of the baubles, it looks really cute, if I get a chance I'll update the photo.

Have a lovely day!

Third and final post of the day!

This is my last card to share today.  Another clean and simple card. A little bit vintage-y despite the clean and simple thing I think?

This is for the Stampin Royalty Challenge (Christmas Card) and the Spoonful of Sugar Challenge  (Christmas Card).

A vintage kind of Christmas

I loved these Kaisercraft papers I bought the other day.  And so I made two quick cards.  here is the first one.  Love the flocking on the brown paper.

I'm entering this into the following Challenges:

Finally some cards to share!!!

OK there will be three posts today for three cards!

First up is Holly!

If you like Holly you can get her here.  Unfortunately my ink ran when I put the glitter on and I wasn't too keen on my grey outline and shadow (too dark in my opinion!!)! Oh well...

This one is for the following challenges:
I used my new MFT snowflake die, that is just beautiful.  I was excited to find this shop: Jay Gee's Nook a couple weeks ago based in Australia selling lots of my favourite brands from blogland! Judith who owns the shop is fantastically helpful and also has a cool blog with challenges too, the current one is on my 'to do' list too!!!

Have a great day - I'm off to bed!
