Away for a while..

Hi folks I'm going to be away from blogging for a week or so.  So I have extended the deadline for the Rainbow challenge.  So far only one entry!  C'mon you can do better than that!!!! Haha.  I've a few completed prjects that haven't been blogged as I've been pretty busy! I might get onto scheduling some posts if time.  If not they'll be lots coming up over the coming weeks!!!

For now here is a pretty hair tie my daughter and I made together from one of her old dresses.  Here is the dress!!

And the pretty hairband.

 And the model of course!

I can't think where the tutorial for this was but if I find it I'll post a link.

See you in a week!

This has got to be the Silliest Card I ever made!

So first off if my in-laws are reading this then look away now! Birthday card spoiler!!!

OK and another thing before we get to today's actual post:

Freebie and Challenge still open - click here for details.

So last week I was at a kid's birthday party and one of the cards from a mainsteam card company was hilarious!! It was funny enough for me to take a picture of and decide to case with a handmade version!  Here is the original:

The little donkey was attached with a spring so his ass really can shake!!!

I made mine using the sketch over at Taylored Expressions and also used the challenge at Wee Memories (orange, scallops and string - use at least 2 of the the 3).

I'm also entering it for:

• The Alphabet Challenge Blog - 'U' for unused stash (the wire for the spring, and the Fancy Pants 5x8 notebook journal paper (orange scallop)), and the donkey image.
• Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog - Stitching

A side view:

And the inside! (notice the string is inside!)

I have to tell you, my husband thought I was a bit nuts whilst making this card, as I just kept chuckling and laughing out loud!  Would love to be there when my father-in-law opens it to see his face and see him chuckle too!  But alas we are half the world away!

Anyway it got me thinking.... what is the funniest or silliest card you have ever made?  Let us all have a chuckle and link it up below - doesn't matter how long ago you made it, just link up chuckle material!! (Keep it clean please).

Happy Birthday Mum!!

So it's my Mum's birthday next week (don't worry she is under strict instructions not to peek at the blog until after then!) and I made this card for her.  I used the sketch from StampingBella's blog.

I'm also putting it in for the following challenges.

• Stampin Royalty - Stitching
• Sweet Stampin Challenge - Stitching
• 4 Crafty Chicks - Embossing (60's wet embossed)
• Alphabet Challenge - 'U' Unused Stash (Ribbon)
• Creative Belli Blog - Embellishments starting with a 'B' (button)
• Fairy Fun Friday - Embossing

Quick Reminder: There is a freebie available here with a Challenge - no takers of the challenge yet :(

Naming my Little Lady Digi

Hi there, remember my little lady digital stamp that I gave away as a freebie a while back, well I need some help naming her!  I'm going to be adding her to the store soon, but I think she should have a name!
Here she is:

Now, I had a very long list of my favourites, but I've just narrowed it down to six.  Let me know if you think she looks like one of these:

• Ruby
• Lulu
• Phoebe
• Eleanor
• Darla
• Betty

Or maybe you think she looks like something else.  Leave me a comment of what you think.

Freebie and a Challenge: Rainbows

I decided to host another card challenge, spread the word and see if we can get more that six entries!  The theme for this challenge will be:

Rainbow Colours

with a BONUS CHALLENGE of

Cork

Make sure you get all the rainbow colours in.  I've a little freebie to go with today's challenge, feel free to use it for today's challenge if you want to, but you DON'T have to.  You can download it here.

There will be a prize for my favourite card.  It will be a set of digital stamps around the theme of Rainbows & Weather and will include 7 images and 8 quotes.  For everyone else, this set will be available to purchase from my Etsy shop once the challenge has closed.

I've two new cards to share with you today.  I made this first one for a dear friend who is in need of a bit of support right now.  I love this quote - it will be in the set!

And here is the second one using the freebie image and some lovely cork!

Here's a side view to show dimension.

Not sure if you can see it or not but those clouds have dimensional magic (crystal effects) on.

Here are some other rainbow cards I've made if you need more inspiration!

Can't wait to see what you come up with!
