Table top Ironing Board re-cover!

Found this table top ironing board at a car boot sale (garage sale) for a pound! Had been wanting one for my craft room for ages. So I snapped it up.

I covered it in some pretty pink heavy weight fabric.

Here's a quick tutorial if you need it!

1. Remove ironing board legs. Cut the underlay to size.

2. Lay the fabric right side down and place the underlay on top.

3. Place ironing board on top and cut around leaving enough fabric to fold and staple in place.

4. Now staple the fabric to the board.

5. Reattach the legs. And job done!

Love the new look a lot better!!

All finished!!

Finished the cute little quilt with Darla fabrics by Tanya Whelan! Still need to practice my quilting but really quite pleased. Still wish I had used a solid instead of the white floral sashing but used what I had.

And the back.

A close up.

Thanks for looking!

A Quilt Top!

Well this came together pretty quickly! Have really enjoyed putting this together today.

The fabrics are from the Darla range by Tanya Whelan by Free Spirit. I bought them about three years ago. They sat for about a year on a shelf whilst I admired them and procrastinated over cutting them up!

Finally about a year and a half ago I started to cut it up to make this. But the it got put to one side during the big move!

Now to get some batting, do the back and put it all together!!

WIP

So a little work in progress to share. After my success at finishing my nephew's quilt last week. I decided to finish cutting pieces for another quilt I had started over a year ago! Finished cutting all the bits last night and so now to start sewing!

A cute little purse

I needed a little coin purse the other day to stuff in my pocket and didn't have one so ended up borrowing my daughter's. So last night I decided to make one for myself!
