A Teeny Tiny Quilt....

Well actually it's a bookmark! I made this last night for a friend. We had been in a shop and seen a fabric bookmark. She commented on how much she liked it....and so the story continues! I had also been inspired by Erin from Why Not Sew? Quilts who makes beautiful mini quilts with cute little birdies on. I'm a bit of a sucker for cute little birdies. So I knew I wanted a cute little birdie on the bookmark somewhere. I used a stamp to get the birdie shape I wanted and added a little sun. Paper pieced the ground. Love how it turned out. Now I want one!!

Close up on the cute little birdie!

And the back.

Rainbow cake

I finally had a go at the rainbow layer cake I have seen around blogland.

It went down a treat at Pudding Club yesterday!

Freshening up the Tired Cubby House

When we moved to this house, my daughter was very excited to see it had a cubby house built up on stilts!  The only thing was it looked a little dull.

So we decided to liven it up with some fresh paint.

And some new doors, care of hubby.

How cute are they!?

No little cubby house is complete without some oilcloth bunting!

The finished product!

Now we just have to add a name sign to the front and start on the inside!! Skip To My Lou

Table top Ironing Board re-cover!

Found this table top ironing board at a car boot sale (garage sale) for a pound! Had been wanting one for my craft room for ages. So I snapped it up.

I covered it in some pretty pink heavy weight fabric.

Here's a quick tutorial if you need it!

1. Remove ironing board legs. Cut the underlay to size.

2. Lay the fabric right side down and place the underlay on top.

3. Place ironing board on top and cut around leaving enough fabric to fold and staple in place.

4. Now staple the fabric to the board.

5. Reattach the legs. And job done!

Love the new look a lot better!!

All finished!!

Finished the cute little quilt with Darla fabrics by Tanya Whelan! Still need to practice my quilting but really quite pleased. Still wish I had used a solid instead of the white floral sashing but used what I had.

And the back.

A close up.

Thanks for looking!
