This is a brilliant way to store crafting items so you can see them. Also great for transporting to and from classes with the cover on.

USA Themed t-shirts
I had to make some USA themed t-shirts the other day for my daughter's gymnastics show. She had to have a red t- shirt and her friend a white one.
This is what I came up with.

Sorry it's been a while...
Have been sooo busy preparing for a market. I shared a stall with some lovely friends. Here is one of them!!
A whole stack of hairbands!
Some vintage style bunting using burlap/hessian, felt and an old book.
A couple of bibs!
Cute little hat!
Some sweet purses.
Love this! And so glad it didn't sell - to be honest I kind of overpriced it coz I wanted to keep it! It is now hanging in my kitchen!
Another one that is now on my wall!!!
Cute little baby bow tie!
And later in the evening oh boy was it cold!

Fight this thing
Had some bad news last week. I heard that a dear friend of mine has cancer. So I made this card for her.
Not sure if you can read the front. It says Fight this thing... and inside it says...
The challenge at CAS-ual Fridays was to tear something, so I tore the fabric. Thanks for looking.

Fancy Pot Holder
Well this started out meaning to be a large pot holder but I think it's too pretty to be used so I added loops in case it gets hung on a wall instead!! But it could be used quite happily as a pot holder as it has that special heat insulating batting in-between!
I'm still obsessed with the little birdies from Erin @ Why Not Sew. But inspiration also came from Cluck Cluck Sew's leaf pillow.
I hope the new owner loves it!
I've used Cath Kidston Fabrics as I know the recipient of this gift loves them!
The trees were just made by free hand sewing - no pre drawn lines. Love the way they turned out.
I think my free motion quilting is improving a little bit too!
This is the back.
Thanks for taking a look. I'm linking up to Quilt Story's Fabric Tuesday.

Finished Peak Hour Quilt!!
Yay finished the quilt this morning. LOVE this fabric line.
I think I almost prefer the back to the front!! Wishing I'd put the name on the back! Love the binding.
Hope I've spelt it right!!
And here it is with the matching taggie blanket!
Glad it's finished in time for my visit!

W.I.P.
It's that quilt again!! Really hoping to finish it this week!! As I'm seeing the new owner of it on Monday!!
I decided to quilt straight lines either side of the seams. It seemed to fit better than free motion given that it was a strip quilt. Plus it's easier!!
Not sure if I blogged that I appliquéd the little baby's name on it or not. But you can just see it in one of the pictures I think.

Still Busy With the Quilt but .....
...Made this cute little taggie blanket to go along with it!
It used up all those little bits from the Jelly roll. And on the back has some white minky. Lovely and soft. I added a thin piece of batting inside too.

W.I.P.
Just a few little pics. LOVE this fabric line!! It's called Peak Hour from Riley Blake. It's designed by an Aussie girl: Kellie Wulfsohn from Don't Look Now blog. I first saw the designs on a quilt she designed in a quilting magazine a few years ago, available here. But now she has made it into fabric! Yay!!
I bought a jelly roll and some yardage and I'm going to make a toddler quilt for a friend's new baby! Have chopped off a little bit of each strip for another project.
Had fun laying them out to get the order I want. Now just to sew it all together!!

Oh No, It's the Gruffalo!!!
I have a teacher friend who is seriously into The Gruffalo books. It's her 30th next week so I had to make a card along a theme, of course! I also made her a clipboard to use in class.
At the moment there are no scrapbook or stamping Gruffalo products on the market so I was limited to a piece of wrapping paper with which to make my creations!!
The card was made using this week's sketch over at Retro Sketches. I rotated the sketch 180 degrees. I was inspired by one of the design team cards who used little windows so I thought I would use that idea too. Inside it reads "...said the Gruffalo!"

I might still add some ribbons to the clipboard at the top.

A Matching Birdie Mug Rug
So I finished the mug rug this evening to match the little bookmark from yesterday, that was inspired by Erin @ Why Not Sew? Quilts.
Love how it turned out! In fact I prefer the binding on this one. The darker colour gives a better contrast. Plus I like the wiggly sun rays instead of the straight ones.

A close up on the wee birdies!
